KIUG 2025: A Game-Changer for India’s Future in Sports – What You Need to Know

As the sun rises over Jaipur today, India enters a historic moment in its sporting journey — the beginning of the Khelo India University Games (KIUG) 2025. Under the leadership of Col. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Cabinet Minister for Youth Affairs & Sports Rajasthan, the state is hosting India’s largest-ever university-level sports event, bringing together the country’s finest young athletes on one powerful platform.

This year’s KIUG is not just a sports competition — it is a national project to build India’s sporting identity, strengthen grassroots talent, and prepare a generation ready to represent the nation at global stages like the Olympics, Asian Games, and Commonwealth Games.

A Pan-India Event Hosted Across 7 Cities

For the first time in its history, KIUG 2025 is being organized across seven major cities of Rajasthan.
Events are being hosted in:

  • Jaipur

  • Jodhpur

  • Udaipur

  • Kota

  • Ajmer

  • Bikaner

  • Bharatpur

This multi-city format reflects the vision of Rajyavardhan Rathore to take sports beyond metropolitan centres and ensure inclusive participation from across the state.
