How AI is Changing Skill Training in Rajasthan
Skill development is no longer about traditional classroom training. In Rajasthan, the government is taking a bold step by integrating Artificial Intelligence into training, assessment, and placement processes.
During a recent departmental review meeting, Cabinet Minister Col. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore directed officials to adopt AI technology across skill development programs. This isn't about replacing human trainers—it's about making training more personalized and effective.
The initiative includes developing ISMS 2.0 (Integrated Scheme Management System), which will digitally manage all skill development schemes in one place. Additionally, a unified Employment Fair Module has been created to match industry demand with candidate supply more efficiently.
What makes this significant is the scale. With 1,115 junior instructor appointments already completed and 13 new ITI courses launched (including Geo-Informatics Assistant and Solar Technician), the infrastructure is being built for thousands of young people.
The India Skills Competition 2025 saw 4,915 youth register at the district level, with state-level competitions scheduled in Jaipur. This combination of competitive spirit and technological support creates a powerful ecosystem for skill development.
These aren't distant plans—they're happening now. For updates on how technology is transforming skill training, readers can follow official channels or visit the website.
