Rajasthan Gears Up to Host Fifth Khelo India University Games: Rathore Inspects Final Preparations

The sporting spotlight is firmly on Rajasthan as it prepares to host the Khelo India University Games (KIUG) 2025 for the first time. With less than a week before the grand opening, Rajasthan’s Youth and Sports Minister, Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, personally inspected the arrangements, signalling the state’s commitment to delivering a world-class experience.

A Landmark Moment: Rajasthan’s First-Ever KIUG

Rathore led a detailed evaluation of the event’s preparation at Jaipur’s iconic Sawai Mansingh Stadium, one of 13 venues across the state. He was joined by officials from the Rajasthan State Sports Council, the Sports Authority of India, and local administrators, who presented updates on logistics, accommodations, transport, branding, and security.

Over 5,000 athletes from more than 200 colleges will participate in 23 medal events plus a demonstration sport during the games. This bold step marks a historic moment for Rajasthan, being the first time it hosts the games.
